The Event

The weekend of 18th-20th October 2013 was our 15th Miss TV Scotland Weekend, now one of the very best events on the Tranny calendar and I'm very pleased to say that everyone who came enjoyed another fabulous and successful weekend.  Many girls arrived early on Friday, eager to make a start and when you have to lug six suitcases into your room you need all the time you can squeeze from the day.  As usual, the real girls arrive with a modest overnight bag!  It’s great to see so many couples coming to the weekend (almost half our guests are couples) and the real girls have a ball letting their OWN hair down for a couple of days.

The Boudoir and Adam ‘n’ Eve – two of London’s best Dressing Services – have each been bringing groups of girls to enjoy a fantastic time in Scotland, they love getting out of London for a change and we certainly love having them.  Jodie at the Boudoir knows this event  is especially popular with her girls, they find it very friendly, everyone mixes well and has a fabulous time, it's great for couples too. "I have post Miss TV Scotland blues! It's a bit like Christmas for me. I really look forward to it all year and when it's over I'm gutted." Jodie

Lunch was available in the Conservatory all afternoon with drinks at the bar to keep the spirits up, and the place was soon buzzing as old friends meet and catch up and new ones soon chat away quite comfortably in the relaxing atmosphere. It’s amazing how quickly a year goes by and we are all meeting up again before you know it.

We decided for 2013 to host our own special "Bond Night". There were lots of fabulous Bond girl costumes on show and we organised a fun quiz and the chance for four teams to create their own Bond girl, with clothes, wigs and make-up supplied! After all that we danced 'till late with our resident DJ Galdys.

Saturday always gives lots of options, some girls pop into Edinburgh for some retail therapy at Harvey Nicks, climb Scots Monument in Princess Street, or even just look at the tram tracks! Dunfermline offers some historical sightseeing, or you can just swanny around the shops for all the bits you have forgotten!  By the afternoon, after lunch, all the brain boxes signed up for the quiz with Martin, this year won by the 'Quizlamic Extremists' (aka The Boudoir Girls). Then it was time wiggle through the Salsa Class with Deborah - or just watch Deborah wiggle - whichever.

The Cocktail Reception at 6pm is the start of the very best bit of the weekend, as everyone looks absolutely fabulous in their best gowns and cocktail dresses.  Hundreds of photos must be taken before we make our way through for the Gala Dinner.  After a beautiful meal, everyone was ready for battle to commence- and girls dash off to get ready for our two competitions.

Our 3 Judges had a very difficult job to do, as always, each year the standard of  contestants gets higher, everyone makes a huge effort to look glamorous, their gowns more fabulous and have shoes to die for!  Many congratulations to:
